BSC training was held in two campuses of Wolaita Sodo University during October 1-3 and 6-8, 2015 in Otona and Gandaba respectively. The main aim of the training was creating awareness of BSC(Business Scoring Card) among different levels managers of the University which is mainly expected in developing the skills of practical performance of all levels managers of WSU.
In his opening remark the institutional transformation director and coordinator of the training, Ato Wubalem Girma stated that the training is intentionally designed for all level managements to improve the service delivery for the demanding community of WSU.
Institutional transformation director also added that the training will help the trainees to act better on their sectorial plans strategically and meaningfully in the way that can manage time, energy and finance. It is also expected that the training will create a good opportunity to promote excellent response to institutional transformation by encouraging leaderships of all managing bodies to maintain the commitment they have made to transform their day to day activities in their own concerns.
At the end of the training, the trainees are expected to understand general concepts of BSC and this helps them develop all the levels of BSC and recognize that BSC is the best way to realize institutional transformation. Moreover the training will inspire all the officers, team leaders, directors and top managers to satisfy the demand of the clients in day to day activities.
Totally over 200 participants are engaged in the training from the two campuses. As some of the trainees explained that the training was very important, interesting and attractive in the approach of the presenter and due attention of the attendants. They also added that it is useful for them to act on their plans in a way that can slake the need of the clients.
